Take a hike! Go for a Ride! Arizona's Best Spots

As residence, Arizonians are lucky to have a climate that allows for outdoor recreational activities on a year round basis. Among some of the tourist and resident attractions, are the vast hiking and biking trails our Valley offers. Camelback Mountain is one of the most popular; it is a little challenging for the beginners so bring your water and take a break if you need to. Papago Park Mountain is another less intense experience, as well as “A” Mountain, located near the ASU campus. If you prefer a cooler climate, you are just over an hour away from some of the most gorgeous red rock and natural landscaping in Sedona. Payson and Flagstaff have several different hiking and biking trails, as well. Popular mountain biking trails are spread out throughout the state. South Mountain Trail (Phoenix), Dynamite Loop (Scottsdale), Charles M. Christiansen Memorial Trail (Phoenix), Oak Creek Canyon Trail (Oak Creek Canyon), 50 Year Trail (Oro Valley), North Rim Loop (Jacob Lake), Chapel Rocks Loop (Sedona), Mount Lemmon (Tucson), Pemberton Trail (Scottsdale) and Desert Classic Trail (Tempe), are all among the best places for mountain biking in the state.

AZ Seized Land Available For Auction

Commercially zoned land in the Phoenix area is to be placed on the auction block next month courtesy of John Dixon Associates auction company based out of Marietta, GA. The plots had been seized by the Federal Deposit Insurance Corp. during recent bank closures and will be excellent for businesses looking to develop retail, office and other commercial structures. Dixon stated, "these properties, like a lot of others, just got caught in the wrong place when the economic downturn hit, but this auction will place them back into the private sector where they can provide opportunities for businesses." The auction is to be held at 10am on October 11th at the Hilton Suites (10 E. Thomas Rd. in Phoenix).
